*Glenormiston Cuchulainn is a 2000 imported Connemara by Domo Cavallo Praize out of Glenormiston Fionnuala. Now gelded, Cuchulainn's offspring are consistent in inheriting his athleticism and excellent Connemara type. His unique lineage showcases the exceptional International program of the late Sue Clarke's Australian “Glenormiston” breeding program with notable ponies such as: Island King (by Carna Bobby), Kirtling Haze (Whalton Sandune), Abbeyliex Finbar (Ballydonagh Rob x Finola of Leam), Finola of Leam (by Lavalley Rebel), and Oxenholm Tiffany ( Rory Ruadh x Ardnasillagh Treasure).

Cuchulainn’s sire, Domo Cavallo Praize, one of the most successful Connemara ponies in Australia, was never beaten at a Royal Show. Praize evented in open competition, being unplaced only once over a 10-year career at Equestrian Federation of Australia (EFA) events. He competed successfully in harness and in EFA show jumping and dressage competitions against horses of all heights. He also won the overall championship under saddle for all breeds at the Stud Pony Show in Queensland. With his impeccable temperament and amazing ability, he became a legend in Australia. Not only a true family pony but also the sire of numerous standing stallions and outstanding high performance offspring, including the FEI Four Star Event Horse Feldale Mouse, Pony of the Year Dressage Champion, Capparis High Roller, and graded Show Jumper, Glenormiston Patrick (4.9ft).

Cuchulainn’s dam, Glenormiston Fionnuala by Abbeyleix Finbar, is a lovely mare who had a hugely successful show career as well as becoming a prolific broodmare. She received high accolades for her conformation and type and produced many wonderful Connemaras, including two stallion sons, with one standing in Australia. Her daughter, Glenormiston Nessa, was awarded Champion Connemara at the Australian National Stud Horse and Pony Show for two years running. Glenormiston Fionnuala’s sire, Abbeyleix Finbar, 3/4 brother to stallions Coosheen Finn and Leam Bobby Finn, was bred by the late Viscountess de Vesci (Ireland), and was imported to Glenormiston Connemaras in Australia in 1979 as a yearling. His wonderful bloodlines ensured he would breed on and produce quality ponies. He is well noted for the beauty and quality of his daughters as well as his many successful performance offspring. Finbar’s progeny include International eventing, show jumping, and dressage horses and ponies. Abbeyliex Finbar is also the grand sire of Just Lately who contested World Cup Show Jumping in Australia.
